Custom Content Progress 4/5

3/24/2017

Submission rejected, for numerous reasons. I apparently still have no idea what I'm doing, everything looked fine to me in my game, but I guess I still need to learn a lot.
I worked really hard on this set, so no one could be more disappointed than I.
I will definitely keep working on this, things have always been harder for me to learn due to a difference in learning requirements that I've had my whole life, the generic way of teaching caused my grades to plummet, but when presented with a different teaching method, my grades skyrocketed. So for me to even have gotten this far as I've had is quite the achievement,  to convert multiple tutorials to my way of learning the best I knew how, and obviously not entirely because I still messed everything up, lol.

Maybe I can post this set and try to get some people who know something to beta test this for me and try to help me figure out where I'm going wrong. I know what I need the mesh to DO and to look like in blender but telling the software that is another story. I also spend hours just trying to get something to unwrap, when I should just be able to click "unwrap" I shouldnt have to spend like a few hours creating the mesh and two days just trying to get it to unwrap, and even then it's not right. Ah lordy.

And even though I followed the bump map and specular map tutorials to the T, they are fouled up as well. And something about the dirt overlays needing to be updated. No idea how to do that, and haven't found documentation on how to do so. Also I was told the package files are corrupted. Which is weird because they load into my mods folder fine. I can also go into a package editor and look at everything. Also my poly count is too high, even though they were about the same poly counts as other artist's similar items. I don't know where to even begin. I'm not remaking the objects, as there shouldn't be a need to do so.

Well at least for now I can look at the objects lol.

Argh.

3/22/2017

Well, I have been having good progress with learning to design my own meshes, I have a tub finished but when I bake the mesh with my textures and everything, load it up in Sims4Studio and everything looks fine. I get into the game and the textures are all fouled up. I have been researching bump maps, speculars, etc, all..day. I've tried everything, guess I'm going to have to ask someone to look at it and hopefully they can help me figure out how I can make this damned thing.

As for the progression photos for my industrial complex build, I didn't get around to it.
For now I am just frustrated beyond belief. I really want to release this build on TSR and have my furniture sets available so people can include that in their home. I also want to be able to upload my own personal variation of the build (Much awesomer) on my page at the same time.

So until I can figure out what's going on with this mesh, the industrial complex will be delayed, unfortunately. I really want it to be right.

I guess I'll have to work on a different home to be released in the mean time maybe.

Sighhh I have no idea how people do this stuff so easily, without a design degree at least.

Industrial Build Progress

3/21/2017

So I got all of the items I wanted to use in my variation converted, but then I started playing around with my own meshes. (I know) So one thing led to another and now I want to create CC for the home as well, at least a living room, bathroom and bedroom.  I just get really tired of using some of the same CC all the time with there being a serious lack of industrial style items. Plus this way I can make the home look more like it does in my head. :p

More on this tomorrow, I'll post some progression photos.

Time for bed.

Industrial Lofty Home in Progress

3/17/2017

So since my new submission won't be published until Sunday (District 942 Industrial House) I have been working on yet another industrial style home. It's currently in progress - what I would like to use in the home CC wise is making my head hurt. It's a set that currently needs conversion so I have seriously been up all night learning how to do it, I've managed to figure out the first half of the set. The second set is being a real pain, but when it's finished it'll look amazing! I'll be sure to post the conversions as well of course for yall to download as it will be CC used in the home...since apparently you can't find them anywhere *sigh* which is why I am having to convert them to begin with. Cause I realllllly want to use these items in my build.

Anyway, happy simming.

Okay, that was an ordeal all on its own, finally, finished my site revamp. I wish I wasn't such a noob when it comes to this stuff. My knowledge of HTML and CSS is very limited, I can edit stuff pretty easily but sometimes things just broke anddd to Google I went! I also updated my banner and avatar on TSR. After spending all day on this, wanting to slam my head on my desk repeatedly, I am pretty pleased with myself. LOL.

Revamping

Hey all, currently revamping my website so if it's a little wonky at the moment, that's why :p
